Additional Information:
Owners of Inactive Approved Stallions that are available for breeding may update their stallion's status with the registry to "active" by becoming a NASS Member.
Mare owners who are interested in breeding (or have already bred) to an Inactive Approved Stallion may register the resulting offspring with NASS.
Offspring of Inactive Stallions not in "good standing" with the registry during the year of registration and/or during the year of conception, may be registered with NASS upon receipt of a "stallion activation surcharge" fee and provided that all other registration requirements are fulfilled. Payment of the stallion activation fee enables each owner to register any number of foals that were conceived and/or registered during the year and/or years in question. CASTRATION or DEATH: If the stallion was used for breeding prior to castration or death, please complete a STALLION YEAR END REPORT by the end of the calendar year so eligible foals may be registered with SHARONA.
