This page provides information the Radautzer Award.
The North American Shagya-Arabian Society (NASS) created the "Radautzer Award" to celebrate the outstanding achievements of horses with Shagya-Arabian blood who compete in rides sanctioned by the American Endurance Ride Conference (AERC).
This Breed Award is named after the horses from the famous Austrian military Shagya-Arabian stud farm of Radautz (located in present-day Romania) and the European tradition of giving a horse who showed exceptional courage and stamina the highest praise when described as being “tough as a Radautzer”.
The recognition is given annually to the horse who achieves the highest number of points within that competition year according to the scoring system.
Please see the Radautzer Award Guidelines posted below for an application form and other details.
